Bruschetta
SERVES: 3
INGREDIENTS:
- One baguette
- 1 medium-sized tomato
- 1 tbsp (15mL) olive oil
- ¼ tsp (1g) thyme
- ½ tsp (2.5g) dried basil
- ½ tsp (2.5g) oregano
- ½ tsp (2.5g) tarragon
- ½ tsp (2.5g) garlic powder
- ½ tsp (2.5g) parsley
- Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, grated
STEPS:
1. Cut 12 slices off the baguette and arrange them on a broiling pan. Broil them in the oven on low for 3 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through.
2. Finely chop up the tomatoes and place them in a small mixing bowl. Add the olive oil and herbs then mix well.
3. Spoon the tomato mixture onto the baguette slices and top with cheese. Bake them in a 350F (175C) oven for 15 minutes.
