Agua de Sandía (Watermelon Punch)
MAKES: 1 gallon (~3.8L)
- One 8-10 lb (3.5-4.5kg) watermelon
- 3-5 limes, quartered
- ¼-½ cup (50-100g) sugar
- 6-8 cups (1400-1900mL) water
1. Seed the watermelon. Puree the pulp in a food processor or blender. Strain into a jar to catch any stray seeds.
2. Squeeze three limes into the jar and add the rinds.
3. Add sugar and water, then mix well.
4. Adjust flavor with more sugar or limes, if you like. Add plenty of ice, then ladle into tall glasses.
